Skin & Bone is a combination gallery and tattoo studio. The gallery will exhibit art and ethnographic handicrafts related to tattooing, while the studio will have Colin Dale tattooing alongside various guest artists throughout the year. Through his years of travelling and tattooing around the world Colin has had the pleasure to meet and work alongside a wide range of tattoo artists and experts working in ethnographic and other specialized styles. Amongst these friends, we have hand-tattooists from Borneo, Polynesia and Japan as well as some of the world's leading artists in Blackwork and Dotwork coming to visit. Check the homepage http://www.skinandbone.dk/ to see some of the work

Jehanne’s lives
This is the story of a multiple personality case.

Jehanne was born during Ice Age, some 30 000 years ago. Or maybe this is what she believes.
At that time, she lived in a cave and wore fur to protect herself from the cold.
On her chest she had fixed a fox skull, to help communicate with the spirits.
She was a shaman.
Jehanne has lived several lives. She has developed a sustained fascination for skulls and she is still in connection with the unknown world.
Is it the real Jehanne, or one of her descendants, some thousand generations later?

Is this a fiction or a real story just documented by images?
Because one never knows with photography.

Please, make sure you form you own personal opinion on that delicate matter.
In any case:
Welcome to Jehanne’s very personal universe!

My sources of inspiration are based on some major myths from various cultures and the mise en scene often includes artefacts from scientific collections and curiosity cabinets. It is like a work of quotations.

“Secret whispers” is an extract from Jehanne’s lives. A story about being human.

“Le veau d’or est toujours debout”
The song of the Golden Calf, Faust (Opera, Charles Gounod)
Today, some people consider Globalization as equivalent to the adoration of the Golden Calf, as described in the Bible.
The feminine hand above the decapitated head seems to pronounce the sentence.
Would it be a better world if women were in charge of the great groups?

“The veil”
Reflection on aletheia.

“Love me tender”
Before the era of gender studies, it was commonly admitted that sexes would fight each other. French writer Boris Vian gives his view on the matter, in the well-known song “Fais-moi mal Johnny”.

Il s'est levé à mon approche
Debout, il était bien plus p'tit
Je me suis dit c'est dans la poche

Fais-moi mal, Johnny, Johnny, Johnny
Envole-moi au ciel... zoum!
Fais-moi mal, Johnny, Johnny, Johnny

Fais-moi mal, Johnny, Johnny, Johnny
Je n'suis pas une mouche... zoum!
Fais-moi mal, Johnny, Johnny, Johnny

Tu m'fais mal, Johnny, Johnny, Johnny
Pas avec des pieds... zing!
Tu m'fais mal, Johnny, Johnny, Johnny

Fais-moi mal, Johnny, Johnny, Johnny
Envole-moi au ciel... zoum!
Fais-moi mal, Johnny, Johnny, Johnny
